Rider Bar located in soi 4 Maenam which hoids 'walking street' a weekly night market every Thursday evening, is a popular bar with locals, ex-pats and tourists alike. The bar is well ventilated and spacious with an interior finished to a very high standard.

The traditional Thai-style teak wood building and the decor within it gives patrons at Rider Bar an authentic feel of being in Thaland, the lengthy solid plank bar as opposed to the usual concrete ones adds more character and charm to the place, there's also comfortable outdoor seating areas at the front and rear of the building.

Owner and manager P Hom, a big bike enthusiast and member of a local motorcycle club 'Samui Pirates' which run sponsored bike rides to raise money for local charities, also helps out with the organization of one of Koh Samui's bigest events, 'Samui Bike Week', the national big bike show hosted at Chewang lake view annually. Hom's enthusiasm for classic bikes is reflected in the bars theme, which at times includes a Harley Davidson motorbike.

Currently only open on Thursdays from 4pm till late, Rider Bar is an ideal spot to relax with a drink, shoot some pool with friends whilst listening to classic rock music from the playlists or youtube, after browsing round the stalls at the weekly night market.

The attentive staff serve local beers, spirits, whiskey's, house wine and cocktails from an extensive menu, with free pool and wifi for customers.

Rider Bar is one of the nicest and spacious bars in the area with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere located in soi 4, 'walking street', the most popular street in Maenam.

This gem of a bar can be found in soi 4 on the right hand side aprox. 50 meters down from the main entrance to the weekly night market, just off the Samui ring road.
